WITH OR WITHOUT YOU

Her subjects deriving from memories mixed with cultural cliché. By formulating her sculptures she is asking where memory ends and chliché begins.

For the spectator, the inner view is necessary to proof the liveliness and the subjective truth of the shown work. Besides questions for humaneness and vivid there is a strong language of the image itself to be experienced in its own dreamlike reality.

Hamberg changes a room into an autonomous picture: By positioning her relief and figures she creates a complete image. While in a two-dimensional image you usually can only move inside your head, here it becomes concrete reality that can be experienced.
The viewer is inside the image.
