With the exhibition Wo die Grossen the artist run gallery space Diskus shows new works in the second single exhibition by Britta Jonas.

Usually based in Dresden, Britta Jonas right now lives and works in Frankfurt as a dynamo.eintracht fellow of the Dresdner Bank. In her work, she often uses techniques and themes of folk art, whose originally applied harmlessness she turns upside down. The spectator gets immediately sucked into familiar looking images of the partially largescale wood saw works where he comes face to face with facets of the emotional world of Humans, between love and death.
Britta Jonas exhibition is part of an intimate way of storytelling, built up like an imaginary museum, in which the single works refer to each other regarding their themes and contents.
