OPEN END

03/04/2007 – 03/31/2007

After two successful years, the artist space Diskus will finally close ist doors in May 2007. For the end of this wonderful era, the old gallery stable of Diskus will come together once more for a group show, opening on Saturday 3rd 2007 with their „finish”. The exhibition will comprise new sculptural work by Britta Jonas (video installation), Christian Korth, Heinz Schmöller, Christian Schönwälder, André Tempel and Tilmann Walther. For the very first time, the sculptors Stefanie Bühler, Stella Hamberg and Susanne Starke will show works on paper.

In May 2007 Birgit Ostermeier will transform the current artist space Diskus into the Galerie Birgit Ostermeier - with a majority of the Diskus artists - into a classical gallery format under her directorship. She is aiming to pursuing the present path further. She will continue to work with a majority of the former artists – as well as developing a platform for current sculptural tendencies and installations. Expect new impulses and positions, curated projects, not exclusively but steadily dealing with the subject of sculpture. The gallery Diskus was not following a trend - but its adopted line, which the ten founding installation artists and sculptors created.

You will find the three-dimensional works at the usual space at the beloved location in the backyards of the Brunnenstrasse.
