Huge green plastic buckets, originally used as rain barrels, bought at the local DIY superstore, hang on the wall, combined to nose-like or bristly objects.
Tempel does plastic arts in both meanings of the expression – the material and what he transforms it into – can be everywhere.
His perforated gumboots are pursued studies on an every day article while other objects look organic, like huge cocoons or already slipped, giant insects. A third aspect is the technical dimension of the works. The functional looking affixing of connections between metal parts, hoses and the room itself seem to follow the higher will of an engineer.
In Tempels objects, water can flow, life can grow or you can simply learn how to get more fun with your gumboot.
